Thank you to all parishioners who have participated in parish life this year: to those who have been involved in liturgical ministries; to those who support the parish financially; to those who gather in prayer for Eucharist each week; to the many involved in one or other parish groups; to those who support and encourage the involvement of family and friends in parish life. Without your presence and contribution there would be no OLGC parish. The Parish Leadership Team, Parish Staff and Priests wish you all the blessings of Christmas and look forward to continuing parish life in 2009.

The parish will be very quite during January as many take leave and enjoy holidays. We are planning the opening of the parish year Mass for 2009 on the weekend of the 7th and 8th February. This weekend will mark the commencement of our parish activities for the new year. Please mark this date on your diary.

During January:

· Until the early February, regular ministers (Readers, Leaders, Eucharistic Ministers, and Altar Servers ) are asked to check in the sacristy before Masses to ensure that we are covered for these essential roles in our celebration of the Eucharist.

· There will not be a weekend newsletter during January – if you want something brought to the community’s attention, please leave a note at the Parish House or email olgcbrendan@bigpond.com

· Counters, Bankers and Flower rosters will continue.

Communiqué Copies of the December edition are still available today.

If you can assist with the ministry of Leader, Lector or Eucharistic Minister for Christmas Day Masses please complete the sheet on the gifts table.
