Children’s Liturgy of the Word (Yr 1 Upwards)
Children’s Liturgy provides the opportunity for children to participate in their own Liturgy of the Word during the 10.30 am Sunday Mass. The children pray together, listen to the Gospel of the day and engage in discussion and activities based on the Gospel theme. We give the children an opportunity to explore the Gospel message in light of their own experiences. We aim to nurture the children’s relationship with God and help them feel part of the OLGC Parish community. We wish to create an environment whereby the children view Mass as a positive experience. We welcome new leaders who will be rostered on with experienced leaders once a term. Once a year a formation evening is arranged for the leaders where a guest speaker is invited to lead a discussion with the group. All resource material is provided.
